It all started when…

In 2016, a small group of strangers met over the love of an obscure new musical instrument that had only just been invented in the year 2000. The passion of these fast friends led to the creation of the Handpan NYC facebook group; a place where local Handpan enthusiasts could go to discuss and share their excitement and curiosity about the instrument.

Almost 4 years, and 600 members later, Handpan NYC has grown into an international center of the handpan, a place where teachers, artists, and enthusiasts can experience a world of handpan events, workshops and community gatherings.
